Alireza Ghahremani is an Iranian jazz guitarist, composer, and music producer whose work brings together Iranian musical traditions, contemporary jazz, and cross-cultural collaboration. Drawing inspiration from Persian poetry, regional folk traditions, and storytelling, his music explores the dialogue between cultural heritage and modern improvisation, creating a distinctive artistic voice that connects Middle Eastern and global musical languages.
He began his musical training in classical and Iranian traditional music before dedicating himself to jazz and contemporary composition. In 2016 he completed Jazz & Improvisation, an online professional programme led by Gary Burton through Berklee Online.Since then, he has developed an international practice as both a recording artist and live performer, collaborating with musicians from Europe, North America, and the Middle East across studio productions, concerts, and festivals.
His debut album, Zaranjee (Vaak Records, UK, 2024), was selected by Beehype as one of the Best Albums of 2024 worldwide. His second album, Middle Eastern Sweet Sadness (Vaak Records, UK, 2026), further expanded his artistic vision through international collaborations and was launched with live performances in Turkey. The album has received international media recognition, including coverage by Songlines Magazine, Reuters, 3sat Kulturzeit (Germany), and Dark Blue Notes (Turkey).
